Here at Jam Ministries, we believe in working together, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, through a variety of family oriented events. In 2007, we had a number of family oriented events for children and their parents. Our goal is to spread the gospel through love and action.
On Valentines Day we served hot meals and dessert for all the families present, as well as flowers and chocolate covered strawberry for all the ladies present.
On Saturday before Easter, God blessed us to give away over one hundred Easter baskets to children in the community. We had tons of fun on that day for everyone who attended. We had a variety of games, a moon walk, cake walk, music, food and prizes for all.
During our back to school drive, we adopted two families to help with school clothes and school supplies.
Halloween night - we had a night of praise, we gave children and their families a positive alternative to trick or treating. We hosted over a hundred and fifty people. We had food for everyone, games and candy bags for all the children. We like to get our children involved in different activities because they are our future. If we are not reaching out to them, there will be someone who will be getting to them in a negative way.
At Christmas time, we served hot meals and passed out over four hundred toys for all the children, from six months to the age of eighteen that attended.
We would like to thank each and everyone that helped with any of our events in the year 2007.
We look forward, to doing even greater things in 2008. The first event we are planning for our children this year, will be a spring break festival, where we will have pizza, hot dogs, hamburger, music, skits and fun and games for the entire family. We are also planning to give away Easter baskets, have a school supply drive, a night of praise for Halloween and a Christmas toy drive, just to name a few.
We are going to do what ever it takes to keep our children involved in positive things. We welcome your ideas and support. Let's become part of building our childrens' future together.
